The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Al-Qadisiyah hosted the election event of the Academic Quality Society, under the ministerial supervision represented by Dr. Ali Taqi and Professor Haider Hussein, and in the presence of a large number of members of the Society.
The meeting began with a speech by Assistant Professor Dr. Hassan Sami Oreibi, in which he reviewed the importance of the association and its role in defining the standards of academic quality and scientific research in Iraq, and its special importance in reducing the phenomenon of predatory publishing, and maintaining the scientific reputation of the scientific research path in Iraq.
Mr. Oreibi has dissolved the administrative committee of the association in preparation for the election of the new committee and open the door for nominations for new members, after which the democratic election process would begin by the members of the association and the selection of nine new members for the board of directors of the association, including Mr. Oreibi. The former president and Mr. Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Al-Qadisiyah, Assistant Professor Dr. Dhiah Al-Shammary, and after the first private meeting of the Board of Directors was the renewal of Dr. Hassan Sami Oreibi, his presidency of the Association.
The Dean of the College thanked the delegation of the Ministry and the members of the association for giving the College of Computer Science and Information Technology the opportunity to host this important event and to participate in the membership of the board of directors of the association. On the other hand, the members of the ministerial delegation and the President of the Association thanked Mr. Al-Shammary for the good hosting and reception.
