The research Unit at the CSIT organized a scientific symposium titled “Deep Learning Roadmap: Step by Step” presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Alaa Taeema Abdul-Kazem and Assistant Professor Dr. Osama Majid Hilal.

The speakers outlined the roadmap for deep learning, which consists of 7 steps:
Step 1: Mathematics Skills (Statistics and Probability, Linear Algebra, Differentiation and Integration, etc.).
Step 2: Learning a Programming Language (Python and R).
Step 3: Data Preparation (Data Preprocessing, ETL, Knowledge of Databases).
Step 4: Understanding Machine Learning Concepts (Classification, Regression, Clustering).
Step 5: Learning Deep Learning Algorithms (CNN, RNN, GAN, LSTM, Autoencoder, etc.).
Step 6: Learning Deep Learning Frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, Caffe, etc.).
Step 7: Working on Deep Learning Projects (Face Recognition, Crop Disease Detection, Handwriting Recognition, Driver Drowsiness Detection, etc.).

The workshop also included a presentation on the most important Arabic books and applications on deep learning by Dr. Alaa Taeema, and presenting the most significant Arabic YouTube channels that assist Arab researchers in the field of artificial intelligence and deep learning.
