Mrs. Nawras Abbas Kazem Al-Mousawi, holder of a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Qadisiyah, is nominated for the International Award for the best research on the Internet of Things and Applications. This nomination is based on her recently published research in cooperation with and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Dhiah Al-Shammary, a faculty member at the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Qadisiyah.
This research is one of several scientific studies published by the graduate and her supervisor during the preparation of her Master’s thesis on the development of web services on the Internet. It resulted in the creation of new clustering techniques based on the mathematical Hubert model, which was mathematically developed to build two techniques: one based on a fixed number of clusters and the other based on dynamic movement for clusters of web network messages.
The research nominated for the award conducted an analytical study of all scientific achievements in the development of web services. It conducted a deep analysis of strengths, weaknesses, and the highest level of progress in this field and the potential for further development. Mrs. Nawras’s studies focused on providing support technologies for multi-objective transmission and reception protocols (multicast) on the Internet. It explored the possibility of creating the suitable network environment for activation without resorting to broadcast protocols that expose users’ privacy. Additionally, it aimed to improve network efficiency by reducing the transmitted loads.
It’s worth mentioning the significant increase in the high-quality scientific research output of the Computer Science Department at the University of Qadisiyah and the remarkable progress of students in the same department in their scientific studies. They have excelled in publishing scientific research within the scopes of Scopus and Clarivate.
