Within a scientific research work team between the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Al-Qadisiyah and a team of Australian researchers from Victoria University in Australia, a new study is published that includes advanced techniques for diagnosing epilepsy based on brain impulses. The study is published in the Journal Informatics in Medicine Unlocked, which is one of the journals Elsevier Publishing that is located within the first quarter of Scopus indexing.
The team was headed by Assistant Professor Dr. Dhiah Al-Shammary, Dr. Ahmed M. Mahdi, and the young researcher Ekram Hakem from the University of Al-Qadisiyah, in participation with Lecturer Dr. Ayman Ibaida and Senior Lecturer Dr. Khandakar Ahmed from Victoria University in Australia.
The research included producing new and effective technology for early diagnosis of epilepsy cases by building an efficient clustering technology based on developing a Minkowski mathematical model and providing technical support to optimization techniques like Particle Swarm Optimization.
