The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at Al-Qadisiyah University held on Wednesday, 12/28/2022, the annual Dream and Hope Festival and Bazaar in its third session, with a wide attendance of academic leaders and community personalities, and a large presence of university students from various colleges. The Dean of the College has welcomed the academic guests of the festival, the Assistant of the President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Rahim Al-Hamzawy, representing the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Assistant Professor Dr. Imad Odeh Al-Amiri, Director of the Student Activities Department, and Professor Dr. Abbas Sabbar, Chairman of the Academic Classifications Committee at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Assistant Professor Dr. Salem Juma, Director of the University Media Department, and Professor Dr. Hazem Musa Al Ameri, Director of the University Coordination Department.
The ceremony spokesman, the student Ali Majeed, ascended the podium, welcoming the honorable guests, and everyone stood in reverence to hear the national anthem to the tunes of the two musicians, Duha Sattar and Ghufran Ali, then stood to read Surat Al-Fatihah on the souls of the martyrs of Iraq, especially the martyrs of higher education, then the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Dhiah Al-Shammary, welcomed the podium guests of the college and appreciating the students efforts in holding the annual Dream and Hope Festival and Bazaar. Al-Shammary has reviewed the efforts of the college students and staff in the epic reconstruction and renovation of the college infrastructure
Among the activities of the festival was an interactive theatrical show by the artists Amir Jaafar and Muhammad Al-Baaj entitled “Chaos” that reviewed the suffering and difficulty of life and an interactive performance with the audience. Then Mr. Mortada Al-Mousawi climbed the stage as a representative of Al-Ain Charitable Foundation specialized in caring for orphans and gave an introductory speech about the organisation and its services provided to orphans. Then the poet Muhammad Turki has delivered poems that attracted the attention of the attendees and boosted their interaction. The last participation was an authentic Arabic musical repertoire by the great and pioneering Arab composers by the two musicians, Duha and Ghufran. The event has provided Cultural, artwork, handicrafts, cosmetics and foodstuffs.
