
Summary
Dhiah Al-Shammary is currently an assistant professor at the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, University of Al-Qadisiyah, Iraq. He is currently the dean of the college. He previously held the position of Deputy Dean for Scientific Affairs at the same college. Dhiah has obtained his Ph.D. in 2014 from RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia. He has several years of experience in Academia both in research and teaching working at several Universities in Iraq and Australia. He also has several years of experience in Industry working at Silicon Valley, California based networking and cybersecurity companies as a senior software engineer working on secure network protocols and Post-Quantum scaled Encryption.
Dhiah has supervised Master and Ph.D research students from Modern University for Business & Science (MUBS) in Beirut-Lebanon, University of Tunis, University of Al-Qadisiyah and University of Babylon in Babel-Iraq. His research interests are in signal processing, encoding techniques, data mining, Web service network and distributed systems, data security in addition to IoT communication, machine learning models, and Remote Health. Dhiah and his research team have developed several compression and aggregation models for Web service, ECG, and EEG recodes. Moreover, novel data clustering and data privacy are developed in different kind of data and applications.
Dhiah has received several research awards during his career. He is a recipient of best Ph.D students and excellence in research from the school of computer science and information technology at RMIT University in 2012 and 2014. He is awarded the best scientific prize in Iraq for computer science in 2002.
